Special Awards

To promote excellence in the global cancer research, CWC has initiated a scheme of Awards to recognize the outstanding research contributions made by professionals and inspire the cancer research community.

The awards are accorded to the exceptional research contributors of the conference under two categories.

  • Best Oral/Short Communication Award
  • Distinguished Young Cancer Investigator Award

Free slots available for Invited Lectures and Oral Communications. Short and Flash Communications will be selected from Poster abstracts.

Our mission is to gather scientists and young investigators involved in research at the cutting edge in the study of the biology and clinics of Cancer. Speakers are selected by the Organizing committee based on the CV and from the top-rated abstracts.

CWC-2023 will offer special awards for 3 best Oral Communication and 3 best Posters for young presenters (< 35 years old).

This is a non-sponsored and self-supported series of conferences. The organizing committee members have no financial conflict of interest with the managing company.

At first, the awards were released in occasion of the 3rd Cancer Congress 2019 held in Prague, Czech Republic. (See below the list of Awarded young researchers)

Students, PhD students, Postdoctoral Fellows and young investigators are encouraged to submit their applications (see eligibility criteria).

Selection Criteria:
  • Research Work: The originality and quality of research.
  • Presentation: The presenter's quality of communication (ability to convey the research and its results to the audience; keeping in time).
Selection and Announcement of Awards:
  • The selection of proposals will be done by the Conference Organizing Committee of academic representatives.
  • The announcement and Award distribution will be done at the closing ceremony of the conference.
  • The presentation of the Awards will be done by the Conference Chair and Award Committee Chair.

"Best Oral/Short Communication" Award

Oral or Short Communication replaces Poster presentation.

Three Best Oral Communications and three Best Short Communications will be awarded.

The aim of these Awards is to promote the active involvement of young researchers in the Cancer field.

Eligibility: Master Students, PhD Students, Post-Doctoral fellow (max 5 years post-graduation); age: < 35 years old

Selection criteria: Quality of experimental data; clarity of presentation; being in time.

Benefits:

  • Diploma.
  • Voucher for waived registration fee for the next Conference.
  • A certificate of appreciation.

Application:

Submit (i) the abstract; (ii) the CV with photo (self-declare the age). Submit all documents before the deadline through Online Abstract Submission System.

"Distinguished Young Cancer Investigator" Award

The aim of this Award is to distinguish young scientists of extraordinary promise and creativity who have made notable contributions in Basic, Translational and/or Clinical research in any Cancer field (Diagnosis, Therapy, cellular/molecular pathogenesis and characterization).

This is a unique opportunity to the young scientists to show their talent and potential to an academic and industrial audience.

TWO AWARDS: one for Basic/Translational Research and one for Translational/Clinical Research presented as invited Oral Communication.

Eligibility:

  • Only Young experienced investigators (Post-Doctoral fellows with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 years of post-graduated experience); age: < 40 years old.

Benefits:

  • Diploma.
  • Voucher for waived registration fee for the next Conference.
  • An opportunity to showcase your research in a global platform through oral presentations.
  • Interaction with other young investigators and established senior investigators across the globe.
  • Certificate of appreciation.

Application:

Submit (i) the abstract; (ii) the recommendation letter from the Mentor/PI; (iii) the CV with photo (self-declare the age).

Submit all documents through Online Abstract Submission System.

7th Cancer World Congress 2023 Awards

The Best Oral/Short Communication Awards and Young Investigator Awards are open to all young presenters at 7th CWC-2023.

Students, PhD students, Postdoctoral Fellows and young investigators are encouraged to submit their applications (see eligibility criteria).
