Special Awards

To promote excellence in the global cancer research, Cancer World Congress has initiated a scheme of Awards to recognize the outstanding research contributions made by professionals and inspire the cancer research community.

Current Issues in Molecular Biology (ISSN 1467-3045), one of our supporting journals, will sponsor 200CHF each for two Best Poster Presentations at Cancer World Congress-2024 in Croatia.

Current Issues in Molecular Biology (CIMB) (ISSN 1467-3045) is an international, scientific, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. The journal publishes original articles and reviews in all areas of molecular biology. It is indexed within Scopus, SCIE (Web of Science), PMC, PubMed, Embase, CAPlus / SciFinder, FSTA, AGRIS, and other databases.

The aim of these Awards is to promote the active involvement of young researchers in the Cancer field. We encourage Students, Doctoral students, Postdoctoral Fellows and Young Cancer Researchers to submit their abstracts.

Our awards are accorded to the exceptional research contributors of the conference under two categories.

  • Best Oral/Short Communication Award* (students)
  • Best Oral/Short Communication Award* (participants other than students)

*Oral or Short Communication replaces Poster presentation.

Short and Flash Communications will be selected from Best Poster Abstracts.

Best Oral/Short Communication Award (for students)

Two Best Oral Communications will be awarded for students.

Eligibility: Master Students, PhD Students, Post-Doctoral fellow (max 5 years post-graduation); age: < 35 years old

Selection criteria: Quality of experimental data; clarity of presentation; being in time.

Benefits:

  • A reward of 200 CHF (sponsored by CIMB) for the outstanding presentation from the selected two best oral communications.
  • Voucher for waived registration fee for the next Conference.
  • A certificate of appreciation.

Best Oral/Short Communication Award (for participants other than students)

Two Best Oral Communications will be awarded: one for Basic/Translational Research and the other for Translational/Clinical Research.

Eligibility: Only Young experienced investigators (Post-doctoral research fellows with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 years of post-graduated experience); age: < 40 years old.

Benefits:

  • A reward of 200 CHF (sponsored by CIMB) for the outstanding presentation from the selected two best oral communications.
  • Voucher for waived registration fee for the next Conference.
  • An opportunity to showcase your research in a global platform through oral presentations.
  • Certificate of appreciation.

Selection Criteria:

  • Research Work: The originality and quality of the research.
  • Presentation: The presenter's quality of communication (ability to convey the research and its results to the audience within allotted time).

Announcement of Awards:

  • The selection of proposals will be done by the Conference Organizing Committee.
  • The award announcement and distribution will be done at the closing ceremony of the conference by the Award Committee Chairs.
